Clinical Laboratory Technologist II - Acute Laboratory

Provides accurate, timely and cost effective laboratory testing of patient samples to aid in diagnosis and treatment of disease. Provide technical expertise to Providence Seward Medical Center Lab and other healthcare institutions.

Required qualifications for this position includes:

  • Individual qualifying for this position with a Bachelor’s Degree must complete certification as either a Medical Technologist (MT) from the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) from the National Credentialing Agency (NCA) within one year of hire

  • Individual qualifying for this position with equivalent certification must be verified by the Lab department and identified to Human Resources prior to the candidate’s interview

Preferred qualifications for this position includes:

  • Bachelor's Degree in BS in Medical Technology. Or equivalent educ/experience

  • Rural Site Only: Meet CLIA personnel requirements for high complexity testing personnel

  • 1 year of Clinical lab experience

Providence Mountain Haven is the first Green House® home in Alaska, which is includes 4-lodges, each with 10-Elders. Teams are self-managed, have consistent staffing, and have strong patient to caregiver ratio. Caregivers typically have 5:1 patient ratio and work 12-hour shifts.
